
In the infrared light you can see a small black hole on the right side of the egg. That is most likely a “pip”. After starring begins, a pip forms, which is a small hole the baby has poked through the shell.
This is a great sign the third egg will hatch soon! And I don’t want to get your hopes up, but I also believe I can hear the young bird chirping inside the egg.
We will therefore be on high alert for predators tonight. Unfortunately these sounds which are thrilling for us are also thrilling for predators!
